Susana Pinar Garcia - Project Coordinator
Susana Pinar García is a science writer, translator, and researcher from Spain. She studied in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where she completed a PhD in Biological Sciences, working later as a science historian on the introduction of genetics in Spain at the Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the University of California in Irvine, funded by a Fulbright Fellowship. She then worked as the science editor and scriptwriter for the Spanish television program “Redes” for more than 12 years, as well as writing other articles for various media. She is also the author of De Dios y Ciencia: La evolución de Francisco J. Ayala (Alianza, 2015), El explorador del Índico (Catarata, 2009), and El sueño de las especias (CSIC, 2000), and the translator of several books, including some of Charles Darwin’s books published for the first time in Spain. Currently, she is the science writer and project manager at the FNRIC, where she is developing online courses on various crops.
